CORAL GABLES, Fla.–University of Miami women’s basketball sophomore Tamara James (Dania, Fla.) watched practice from the sidelines Thursday afternoon. She is listed as day-to-day and is probable for Saturday’s 7 p.m. game against Pittsburgh.

James left in the second overtime period of Miami’s 57-55 win over Georgetown Wednesday night after banging her head on the shoulder of a Georgetown player and hitting the floor.

Her neck was immobilized and she was taken off the court on a stretcher. She was transported to nearby Doctors Hospital under precautionary measures.

Several tests were performed, including a CT scan and x-rays which all came back negative. She has a sprained neck and is suffering from minor neck spasms.

James is Miami’s leading scorer averaging 16.2 points per contest.

The Hurricanes (14-1, 3-1 BIG EAST) host Pitt Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
