Soccer Team Trains in Brazil

The University of Miami women’s soccer team is currently in Brazil for its 2004 preseason training tour. The team arrived in Brazil Aug. 10 and will return to Coral Gables on Aug. 20.
The team will train and play a series scrimmages throughout the 10-day period. The Hurricanes return 14 veteran players and welcome 12 newcomers for their opening season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Hurricanes wrapped up last season with a 9-9-1 overall record.
Miami will open the 2004 season Friday, Aug. 27 traveling to face George Mason at 7 p.m. in Fairfax, Va.
