Krawek, Williams, Burt Named Top Scholar Athletes

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – Rower Jenny Krawec, track athlete Lauryn Williams and Jim Burt, a member of the baseball team, were named winners of the Bowman Foster Ashe Outstanding Student-Athlete Award given tonight at the UM Olympic Sports Banquet held at the Convocation Center.
Awards were given for each sport’s Most Valuable Player. In addition, awards were presented for Male and Female Top Scholar Athlete (won by Jim Burt of baseball and Elizabeth Tyson of volleyball) and for Community Service (won by Fallon Phanord of women’s basketball and Joel Rodriguez of football).
