Hurricane Swimming, Diving Take to the Road

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami swimming and diving teams will take to the road this weekend with the women’s swim team traveling to Columbia, S.C. to compete against the University of South Carolina on Jan. 24 and the men’s and women’s dive teams heading to Orlando, Fla. to take part in the All-Star Diving Challenge on Jan. 24-25.

First-year head coach Mariusz Podkoscielny and the Hurricane swim team will take to the lanes after downing both Houston and cross-town rival Florida International at the Norman Whitten Pool on Jan. 10.

The Hurricanes will square-off with the Gamecocks at 11 a.m.

Randy Ableman and the UM dive squad hits the board at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, Fla. The Hurricanes are scheduled to compete in the men’s and women’s platform beginning with the prelims at 5 p.m.
