Miami Swimming and Diving Host Kansas

CORAL GABLES, Fla.
The University of Miami women’s swimming and diving team will host Kansas on Friday, Jan. 9 at the Norman Whitten Student Union Pool beginning at 4 p.m.
The Hurricanes return to the lanes after falling short against Rice on Jan. 5 in Coral Gables. Against the Owls UM recorded five first place finishes, including two by junior Katalin Ferenczi (Pa’ Pa, Hungary) who swept both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke.
Sophomore Martyna Krawczyk (Looz, Poland) will also look to pace Miami after finishing first in the 200-yard breaststroke against Rice.
The UM women’s diving team returns to the pool after crushing the both Michigan and Rutgers the last time out.
Senior Emily Spychala (Tampa, Fla.) had a season-best in the three-meter springboard, turning in a score of 313.85 and freshman Heather Bounds (Austin, Texas) had a personal-best 255.95 in the one-meter springboard.
