Miami Diving Wraps up First Day of Camo Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Senior diver Emily Spychala turned in an eighth place finish in the women’s 3-meter finals on the first day of competition at the Camo Invitational in Montreal, Canada on Thursday afternoon.

Spychala (Tampa, Fla.) recorded a score of 234.51 on six dives to finish eighth overall in the 3-meter after turning in a score of 235.14 in the preliminaries.

Freshman Heather Bounds (Austin, Texas) turned in a score of 209.64 in the preliminaries for the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes will hit the pool on Friday for the second day of competiton, with the men’s 3-meter competition.
