Hurricanes Announce 2-Game Football Series With Louisville

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami Director of Athletics Paul Dee announced Wednesday that the Hurricanes football team will play a home-and-home series with the University of Louisville in 2004 and 2006. The Hurricanes and Cardinals are scheduled to face off in Miami on October 9, 2004, and in Louisville on September 16, 2006.
The Hurricanes have met the Cardinals nine times in football with Miami holding an 8-0-1 series advantage. Miami and Louisville last met in 1985 with the Hurricanes taking a 45-7 victory at the Orange Bowl. The series began in 1933 with a 33-7 Miami victory. The Hurricanes hold a 4-0-1 edge in games with Louisville at Miami and a 4-0 lead in games at Louisville.
