Soccer Travels To Face No. 19 BC

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami soccer team travels to face No. 19 Boston College in a BIG EAST Northeast Division matchup Friday night at 7 p.m. in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The Hurricanes (9-6-1 overall, 3-1-0 conference) are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the BIG EAST. Miami, No. 14 Connecticut and St. John’s all have nine points in the league standings.
Boston College (11-2-2 overall, 1-2-1 conference) is in fifth place with four points on the season. The top four teams from the Northeast Division and the Mid-Atlantic Division make the BIG EAST Tournament beginning Nov. 1.
The Eagles own a 3-1-0 advantage over Miami in the all-time series but the Hurricanes won the last meeting 3-1 in Coral Gables during the 2002 season.
Miami beat Syracuse 2-1 in its home finale Sunday afternoon. UM is 3-3-1 on the road this season.
BC has won two matches in a row and is 8-1-0 at home this season.
BIG EAST Player of the Week, Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) continues to lead the Miami offense with nine goals scored this season, including four game-winning goals.
