Soccer Falls To No. 2 Notre Dame

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami soccer team fell to No. 2 Notre Dame 3-0 Sunday afternoon in a BIG EAST cross-divisional match in Notre Dame, Ind.
The Hurricanes fall to 8-6-0 overall while Notre Dame improves to 14-0-1 on the season.
Miami took a total of four shots in the match, compared to 17 shots for the Fighting Irish.
The Hurricanes had two shots on goal, one from Julie Brooks (Atlanta, Ga.) and one from Anik Huffman (Winter Park, Fla.).
Andrea Radice (Hialeah, Fla.) and Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) also took one shot a piece.
The Fighting Irish scored one goal in the first half and two in the second with a total of seven shots on goal.
Miami goalie Alex Alford (Atlanta, Ga.) made four saves and allowed three goals in 90 minutes of action.
ND took seven corner kicks while Miami took two.
The Hurricanes play their final non-conference match Friday traveling to face East Carolina at 10:30 a.m.
