Vonda Matthews Earns Preseason All-BIG EAST Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-University of Miami soccer player Vonda Matthews was selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST team for the fourth consecutive season.

The senior from Broken Arrow, Okla. is a three-year starter for Miami.

She was the first-ever Miami player to be named to the All-BIG EAST first team last season.

She played in all 19 matches and dished out a team-high seven assists. She scored two goals for a total of 11 points last season.

The Miami soccer team was picked to finish third in the BIG EAST Northeast Division.
