Van Rooijen Breaks BIG EAST Record....Again

EAST MEADOW, NY – – Last season, University of Miami swimmer Manon Van Rooijen made a place for herself in the conference history books when she set a new record in the 200-yard freestyle event at the BIG EAST Championships.
Saturday, the Hurricane swimmer and Dutch Olympian broke her own record and claimed her second straight title with a time of 1:46.44.
In the three-meter diving event, Miguel Velazquez (Mexico City, Mexico) claimed first place with a score of 594.25, while Katie Bath Bryant (Chatham, Ill.) took second in the women’s one meter with a score of 293.10.
