Women's Basketball Hosts No. 1 UConn

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s basketball team will host No. 1 Connecticut Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center located on the UM campus.

Top-ranked UConn enters the contest on a 63-game winning streak with a 24-0 overall mark this season.

Miami enters the contest 14-8 overall and 6-5 in the BIG EAST.

The Huskies own first place in the conference at 11-0 UM is in seventh place at 6-5.

Miami has not beaten the Huskies in 10 years losing the last 16 meetings between the two teams. UConn leads the all-time series 16-5 over Miami.

Tamara James leads Miami averaging 21.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Diana Taurasi leads the Huskies with 16.6 per game.

The game will air tape delay on FoxSports Net Friday Feb. 21 at 10 p.m.
