Last Dual Meet Of Season Tomorrow

Coral Gables, Fla. – – The University of Miami men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will hold their last home meet Saturday at the Norman Whitten Pool on the Coral Gables campus at 1 p.m.

The meet will be the last for the Hurricanes’ men’s team which has been phased out over the last three years.

“Saturday will be a very sad day for the swimming community as it is the final swim meet for the men at the University of Miami,” said UM coach James Sweeney. “I am extremely proud of the men who continued to swim and compete these past three years as the men’s team was phased out. They all represented the university proudly. Saturday we have one man left standing who will compete, Bjorn Boquist. I hope that we have a great crowd to cheer him on.”

This will also be the final dual meet for our senior women swimmers: Elaine Schwartz, Christine Williams, Megan Kinsella, Meghan Clabby.
