Velazquez Highlight For Hurricanes

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – – UM diver Miguel Velazquez’s second place finish was the highlight of several Hurricane divers competing at the Speedo American Cup diving competition this week in Bloomington, Ind.

The Mexico City, Mexico native and Gulliver Prep product placed second in the men’s 10-meter diving competition with a score of 309.30.

In women’s 3-meter springboard competition, Melanie Rinaldi placed 10th with a score of 217.65 and Emily Spychala placed 19th with a score of 197.80.

Competition will continue today.
