Read Your Greetings Here

Feb. 18, 2002-May 2002

Eric Elliott, Madison, WI to Ken Dorsey: Ken as a Hurricane alum, I was glad to be able to finally shut up some of my friends. Job well done. One for the thumb. Go Canes!

Sam Crater, Dillsburg, PA to Ken Dorsey: Hi. Wanted to let you no that you did a awesome job in the Rose Bowl. I liked the touchdown to Jockey Shockey. I really hope you get drafted in a couple years to the Tennssee Titians or the Okland Raiders. I also hope that you are the starter. By the way, the are number one in the nation. If you are 24 and 1 as a starter I hope that this year you are 31 and 1 as a starter please beat Penn State …

Annette Fulton, Miami, FL to Andre Johnson: Congratulations! Being named co – mvp. Annette

Marvin Gosseye, Stuebenville, OH, to Ken Dorsey and the Hurricanes: Great game and team effort. Congrats again and it was great spending Friday afternoon with you at Michael’s. My next trip will be the W.Va. game in October. Have a great team again in 2002.

James Dixon, Plantation, FL to Ken Dorsey: Very well done! You have given me the one thing I’ve wanted for the Hurricanes for so long! Justice! You are #1. JIM

Jay Sauerwein, Houston, TX to Ken Dorsey: Being a True “Die-Hard” Hurricane (Class of ’92) in the State of Texas continues to cause me to be the point of many comments. However the superb season that you and the Team put together has given me unbelieveable bragging rights. I work in the Space Program at the Johnson Space Center and my office has a rather large ‘Split U’ banner hanging on the wall. I have decreed that it will remain until a Texas team makes it to the national finals in either football or baseball. They don’t even have to win, just make it. I am so proud of ‘our University’ and will continue to hold our banner high. Good Luck in the upcoming season, I will fly in for at least a couple of the games, as usual.

Andrew Smith, Great Falls, VA to the Departing Players: Thank you so much for your devotion. The fact that when deciding which college you would attend you had the historicalreference to remember the greatness of Miami’s past and the vision and self assurance to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that with your contributions could bring Miami back to the rightful place, and put UF and FSU back in their rightful places– looking up, shows that you are something special. For the past 20 years Canes players and the UM program has an unspeakable mystique that no other program can approach, a feeling that no other fan of no other team can experience except for a Cane fan in the Orange Bowl, a sideline full of legendary greatness with great players past and present witnessing history as it is written 7 times a year in the most historic stadium on the planet. Thats why every Cane fan, every present and past UM player knew that Sports Illustrated would have to eat their magazine. J Shockey, your game is nice!!! There is not a safety or a lineback on the planet that can check you, u may be the first tight end in history to draw man to man coverage from a shutdown corner and I am sure u will school them too.

Rolando Fernandez, Maimi, FL to Alex: Thank you Miami!!!!….A New Dynasty is about tobegin….

Jesse Escalera, Elkhart, Kansas to Clinton Portis: I think your the best running back in the game. The way you don’t give up inspires me

As a resident of the Seattle area, I am glad that the Hurricanes squashed all opposion, including the Washington Huskies 65-7. I met you at Canesfest last summer and you were kind enough to sign my Canes helmet.I’m sorry to read about your having to give up football because of yourillness.
