I’ve been a Canes fan since the mid eighties which was a good time to jump on board I guess! 1/3/02 was also my birthday so the day was made extra special. For Christmas my wife got me and my kids Hurricanes jerseys something I have wanted for years! Good luck in the future and I hope your pro career is as fruitful as your college career is. I have taken alot of guff living here in Michigan being a CANES for the past years but can give it all back now. You all are one of the best programs in UM history. Wishes for continued success in 2002. It’s been great seeing how you all came back from the BCS mess last year to prove to the country that the storm warning was for real. Willie Knox, Oceanside, CA to Edward Reed: Good job Ed, It is a known fact that good offense sells tickets but a good defense wins national championships. You definitely were the field General this season. You made some spectacular hits and some outstanding plays this season. Joe Pennington, Ada, OK to Jeremy Shockey: What’s up Shockey? I just wanted to say congratulations. It just goes to show if you work hard enough you can do anything. I remember when you were littler then everyone, but you always had the heart. I hope you have a great NFL career. Shockey, you are about to be playing football when guys we watched in 7th grade. I can’t wait to see it. Well, if you are in Ada this Summer I hope I see you, it’s been awhile.

Mike Bakas to Larry Coker and the 2001 National Champs: Coach, Congratulations on your tremendous accomplishments in your first season as head coach. Bob Popovich, Indianapolis, Indiana to Team: I grew up watching Bernie Kosar, Michael Irvin, Cortez Kennedy, Ray Lewis, etc. win Titles. This one was the best one to watch as a fan because you guys did it with class. Congratulations on a great season!
