– TSgt Norman I. Harris, Eglin AFB, Fl to The Entire Hurricane Team: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!

James Musumeci, Elizabethtown, PA to Ken Dorsey: Congratulations on 2 outstanding seasons!! It has been a true honor to watch you play… you are an outstanding QB and I wish you great success in the future! Thank you so much for returning for your senior season… I only wish some of your team mates would have followed in your leadership and fulfilled their commitment to UM. Take Brock under your wing and teach him well… after watching his bowl appearance… he’ll need it. I can’t think of anyone better to teach him than yourself. Have a great season next year and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! -Jim

Jimmy Doyle, Abilene, Texas to Coach Don Soldinger: I forgot to include my e-mail address the first time. I have been wearing my U of M t-shirts and sweatshirts to class to celebrate. How about another championship next year!!!

Edward Jenkins, Santa Ana, CA to The Whole Team: Great job guys! You really showed that the Canes are back and with a vengenance! I know you will keep the winning ways up and go for the repeat.

Roll Canes!

Gary Zimmer, Pierce, NE to Hurricane coaches and team: Congrats to Miami on your Rose Bowl victory and national championship. I am a die-hard Husker fan, but just like almost everyone here in Nebraska, I know how much you deserve the title. If there is a consolation in losing, it is knowing you lost to the best! It was also enjoyable to see the class shown by your players, coaches and fans before, during and after the game. Miami has gone from a team that I hated 10 years ago to one that I admire and respect today. It’s amazing how much more class you people show than Colorado. Again, congratulations, see you at the College World Series in Omaha, and maybe we’ll give you a better fight next time on the football field.

Jason Goodwin, Ocala, Fl. to Ed Reed: Ed its been grand. Im gonna mis you pickin and grinnin. I have never seen a safety with such big play ability and just raw physical talent. Good luck in the NFL, GO CANES.

Rick Howie, Pensacola, FL to Coaching Staff and Team: Congrats to all members of the staff, team and assistants who made this long-time coming event happen. What a thrill to have watched the game! Hope all will keep the intensity while maintaining the good sportsmanlike approach that has won acclaim from all who follow Division I football. Most of all: Its a Cane Thing, most couldn’t understand!!!

Rick Phillips, Boca Raton to Randy Shannon: great job teaching defense discipline and character this year. You should be extremely proud of yourself and each player. Kudos!
