Soccer Looks To Keep Win Streak Alive At FIU

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami soccer team looks to keep its three-match winning streak alive as they travel to University Park to face cross-town rival Florida International Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
The Hurricanes (6-3-0) look to avenge back-to-back overtime losses to the Panthers in 2000 and 2001. FIU (0-7-1) leads the all-time series 3-2.
The Panthers are looking for their first win of the season, they have been shutout in five matches so far this season.
Miami has scored 23 goals in nine matches this season while the Panthers have only scored three goals in eight matches.
Sophomore Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) and freshman Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) lead the team with 17 points a piece.
Yach was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week after helping Miami to an undefeated week with conference wins over No. 21 Boston College (3-1) and Providence (2-1).
Against the Eagles she had an assist on the Hurricanes’ tying goal. She scored the game-winning goal against the Friars, after dishing out an assist earlier in the match.
Nicola Bell leads the Panther offense with five points, including two goals and one assist.
