Britney Butcher Named To The Soccer America Team Of The Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-Sophomore Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) becomes the first-ever University of Miami women’s soccer player named to the Soccer America Team of the Week.
Butcher earns the honor after recording two hat tricks in wins over Stetson (7-0) and South Florida (5-1) this weekend.
Butcher the Hurricanes’ offensive spark was also named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
She was Miami’s leading scorer as a freshman with 24 points last season. She tallied 12 points, scoring six goals in the Hurricanes’ first two matches of the 2002 season.
The Hurricanes are off to a perfect 2-0 start under first year head coach Tricia Taliaferro.
Miami is back in action Friday facing LSU in the FSU Invitational.
