Soccer Hosts South Florida Sunday Afternoon

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami women’s soccer team will host South Florida Sunday at 1 p.m. at Cobb Stadium on the UM campus.

The Hurricanes (1-0-0) opened the 2002 season with a 7-0 win over Stetson Friday night. This will be the season opener for the Bulls.

Miami leads the all-time series with USF 1-0 after a 2-0 victory over the Bulls last season.

Sophomore Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) led the Hurricanes to victory over Stetson with a hat trick. She led the team with 24 points last season.

Freshman Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) scored back-to-back goals against the Hatters.
