All-American Megan Bradley Transfers To Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-All-American tennis player Megan Bradley (Columbia, Mo.) will transfer to the University of Miami for the 2002-2003 season.

Bradley a sophomore transfer from UCLA was an All-American in both singles and doubles and was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s National Rookie of the Year.

“Bradley is one of the most imposing players in college tennis, said head coach Paige Yaroshuk.” “I’m excited to have her aboard.”

She ended the 2002 season as the Bruins’ highest ranked singles player at No. 5 in the nation. She also teamed with sophomore Lauren Fisher, advancing all the way to the finals at the NCAA Doubles Championships. The duo rounded out the season with a record of 36-7 ranked No. 5 in the nation.

Formally a Ransom Everglades standout, she ended her freshman campaign with an overall record of 30-9 at No. 1 singles for the fourth ranked Bruins. Bradley fell to the 2002 NCAA Singles Champion Bea Bielik in the round of 16 at the NCAA tournament.
