LOS ANGELES – It was cold and rainy, but the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes still managed to get in a productive practice on Saturday afternoon at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. As their Rose Bowl game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers approaches, Coach Coker stressed the importance of staying focused.
“We talked today that starting in the next day or so, there are going to be throngs of people that are going to be coming in and families and well wishers,” said Coker. “All here for the right reasons, but we have to be handle all that. If you’re not careful, you’ll get distracted and you’ll totally lose focus on why you’re here.”
With starting strongside linebacker Chris Campbell still questionable, junior Howard Clark has been putting in extra time studying film and preparing for the game.
“The more film I watch, the easier it gets to understand exactly how to read the plays,” Clark said. “Once I get comfortable, I feel I’ll do a good job.”
