Hurricanes Take 24-0 Halftime Lead

CORAL GABLES, FLA. (www.hurricanesports.com) — – First Half Dominance – With a 2-40 halftime lead, the Hurricanes have outscored Syracuse 47- in the first half ot he past two games. Miami had a 23-0 halftime lead at the Carrier Dome last year en rouote to a 26-0 win.
Today’s game is the fifth of the season Miami has held opponents scoreless in the first half. Syracuse had been held scorelss in the first half twice this season: a 7-13 loss to Georgia Tech and a 9-33 loss to Tennessee.
Moving Target – Andre Johnson’s two TD receptions from Ken Dorsey in the first half give him nine TD catches for the season, which leads all receivers.
