SPECIAL ON MIAMI FOOTBALL TO AIR THIS WEEKEND ON ESPN

Oct. 18, 2001

The top-ranked University of Miami Hurricanes football team will not be in action this weekend, but fans can get an inside, in-depth look at the UM football program when the ESPN networks air a 30-minute special this weekend. “The Season: A Week with the Miami Hurricanes” will debut Friday night on ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time and will be aired Sunday on ESPN at 10:30 p.m.

The half-hour special chronicles all facets of the Hurricanes football program during the week spanning from the conclusion of the October 6 game against Troy State through the end of Miami’s 49-27 defeat of Florida State on October 13 in Tallahassee. The documentary, shot entirely without narration, was filmed by an ESPN camera crew that had total access to the Miami football program.

Miami resumes the 2001 season Thursday night, October 25, at 7 p.m. against West Virginia in a game that will be televised to a national audience via ESPN2. Fans can attend the game, as well as all four of UM’s remaining home games, by purchasing the 4th Down Pack ticket package from the UM Ticket Office. For $74 fans can attend the home stretch of Miami’s drive to the national championship.
