CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 14-ranked Miami soccer team opens BIG EAST play against No. 18 Syracuse Sunday at 1 p.m. at Cobb Stadium.
The Hurricanes (5-1-0) look to rebound from the 2-1 overtime loss to cross-town rival FIU Thursday night. The Orangewomen enter the contest 4-1-0 overall.
Syracuse leads the all-time series 2-0 after beating UM 3-0 last season in Syracuse, NY.
Vonda Matthews (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Laura West (Allen, Texas) lead Miami with 10 points each, including four goals and two assists.
Natalie Galas leads the Orangewomen with eight points, including four goals on the season.
