No. 20 Men's Tennis Falls To No. 54 Georgia Tech, 4-3

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The No. 20-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team fought down to the final court but fell 4-3 to No. 54 Georgia Tech Wednesday night at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Miami drops to 9-2 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-3 overall.
The Yellow Jackets won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
The Hurricanes picked up its first point of the match on court No. 6 as Andrew Golub downed Joao Menano 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
Michael Lang defeated Romain Coirault at No. 1 singles 6-2, 7-6 and Jose Lieberman fought hard on court No. 5 to edge Sergio Aguirre 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 to tie the match three-all.
The tension rose as the Hurricanes needed a win from Tomas Smid on court No. 2. Smid battled for three sets but fell 7-6, 4-6, 3-6 to Roger Anderson as the Yellow Jackets pulled off the upset over Miami.
The Hurricanes return to action this Friday taking on the Baylor Bears at 6 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
