Men's Basketball Beats Northeastern, 92-86

MIAMI (AP) – Miami’s Rodrigue Djahue scored 16 points, including two freethrows with four seconds remaining, to lead the Hurricanes to a 92-86 victoryover Northeastern on Saturday.
The Hurricanes (3-0) built a 16-point advantage midway through the secondhalf then withstood a late Huskies’ rally in the final two minutes.
Northeastern’s Marc Blossom hit a three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining tocut Miami’s lead to 90-86, but Djahue’s two free throws finished offNortheastern (0-2).
Darius Rice also had 16 points for the Hurricanes, who had five playersscore in double figures. Charles Cranford led Northeastern with 20 points andBlossom added 19.
Northeastern kept within striking distance by connecting on 9 of 14three-point shots.
The teams exchanged the lead 14 times during the first half, but theHurricanes took the lead for good when James Jones‘ layup with 6:09 remaininggave Miami a 31-30 advantage.
Miami had a 9-0 run in the first four minutes of the second half and led,88-74, with 2:25 remaining before Northeastern made its final run.
