Swimming Heads To Indiana

Coral Gables, Fla – The University of Miami men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to action this weekend as they travel to Indiana University to compete in the Indiana Invitational held November 16-18 at the Counsilman Billingsley Aquatic Center in Bloomington,IN.

The Hurricanes will compete against Indiana University, who won the invite last year, the University of Missouri, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Evansville.

In Miami’s latest dual meet, against Indian River Community College, Elaine Schwartz (Mt. Laurel, NJ) won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:35.21) and the 100-meter butterfly (59.52) while Jennifer Weir (Cooper City, FL) took first in both the 50-yard freestyle (25.03) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.16). Wesley Stoddard (Huntsville, AL) paced the men winning the 500-yard freestyle (4:41.95) and taking second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.51).
