Women's Crew Competes At Head Of The Chattahoochee Regatta

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami varsity women’s crew traveled one varsity eight along with the women’s novice program to the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta on the Olympic Course, which was used in the 1996 Atlanta Games, in Gainesville, GA.
The varsity women’s boat finished in sixth place in the Women’s Club Eight race with a time of 18:27.0. The boat consisted of rowers Lindsey Tarabula, Nita Rench, Caroline Stuart, Ansley McGarrity, Bernadette Lack, Dorothy Clay, Maggie Knuth, Sara Grossman and coxswain Meg Venezia. Tennessee (B) won the event with a time of 17:22.8, ahead of Tennessee (A) 17:42.6 and Duke (A) 18:00.8.
