Men's Tennis Completes Day Two Of The Rolex Region III Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–Michael Lang (Sarasota, Fla.) of the University of Miami men’s tennis team will play in the quarterfinal match at the Rolex Region III Championships on Saturday in Athens, Ga.

Lang defeated the #13 seed Christian Thall of South Alabama 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-0, before knocking off Mattieu Soto of Mississippi State 6-4, 6-0 Friday afternoon.

Lang is the lone Hurricane still in the tournament and will play the #4 seed Adam Carey of Tennessee Saturday morning.

Doubles partners Tomas Smid (Prague, Czech Republic) and Peter Hoffman (Key Biscayne, Fla.) defeated Antelo and Wetzel of South Florida 8-3, before falling to Thall and Zinchanka of South Alabama 8-6 in the third round of the tournament.
