Hurricanes Announce 2000-01 Men's Basketball Opponents

Coral Gables, FL – The University of Miami men’s basketball team will play 10 games this season against teams that participated in post season play a year ago including seven games against teams that advanced to the 2000 NCAA Basketball Championship. Dates and times have yet to be determined.
Miami’s schedule will include 15 games at Miami Arena including eight BIG EAST battles against Boston College, Connecticut, Providence, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Villanova, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
The Hurricanes’ non-conference schedule includes perennial powers North Carolina, Memphis, UNC Charlotte and Nebraska.
Miami returns eight lettermen, including two starters, from last season’s squad that finished with a 23-11 overall record, earned a share of its first BIG EAST regular season championship and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.For ticket information contact the Hurricane Ticket Office at 305-284-CANES in Dade County or 1-800-GO-CANES.
