Freshman Saake Named To Big East All-Star Squad

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami guard Meghan Saake (GreenAcres, FL) has been named to the 2000 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball All-StarTeam that will tour Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia May 26-June 4.

The 13-member squad, comprised of one representative from each BIGEAST school, will play six games against the top club teams in WesternCanada. The team will be coached this summer by West Virginia head coachAlexis Basil.

Saake started all 29 games for the Hurricanes last season as afreshman and averaged 6.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per contest.
