CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami women’s tennis team continued their winning ways with a convincing victory over Barry University. Miami (3-0) won five of the six singles matches and swept all three doubles matches in route to their straight 8-1 victory.

UM received singles victories from senior captain Meredith Laughlin (Miami, FL), senior Eva Jimenez (Madrid, Spain), junior Katia Bogomolova (Moscow, Russia), junior Alanna Broderick (St. Andrew, Jamacia), sophomore Marcy Hora (Delray Beach, FL), and freshman Igne deVillers (Capetown, South Africa). The doubles teams of Hora/deVilliers, Bogomolova/Broderick, and freshman Lauren Scaglione (Seminole, FL)/Laughlin all recorded victories.

The Hurricanes return to action on Sunday, February 13 against South Alabama at the Neil Schiff tennis Center on the Coral Gables Campus.
