Hurricanes Head To West Virginia

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (8-11, 2-6 BIG EAST) will face the West Virginia Mountaineers (6-14, 1-8 BIG EAST) on Saturday, February 5 at 2 p.m. in Morgantown, WV. This is the 9th meeting between the two schools with Miami holding a 7-1 advantage. Miami has won four consecutive vs. the Mountaineers, dating back to the 1997-98 season.
The game marks the start of a three game BIG EAST road swing for the Hurricanes. Most recently, the `Canes fell to No. 18 Boston College, 66-55. Junior Camilla Osth scored 16 points in the effort and senior Gina Graziani dished out six assists.
The Hurricanes are led by freshman Alicia Hartlaub (9.9 ppg., 6.7 rpg.) and Graziani (9.3 ppg., 5.8 apg.).
The Mountaineers return home after losing to Seton Hall, 58-49, on the road. West Virginia is led by junior forward Batch (11.2 ppg., 7.3 rpg.) and senior Mandy Ronay (10.5 ppg., 5.1 apg.).
