UM Tops St. John's

JAMAICA, N.Y. – Senior Gina Graziani scored six points to key a 13-4 run to open the second half as the University of Miami (7-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) handed St. John’s (5-8, 0-3 BIG EAST)a 68-47 loss Saturday in BIG EAST conference action.
Graziani led four Hurricanes in double figures as she finished with a team-high 17 points and seven assists. Alicia Hartlaub (14 points, 13 rebounds) and Sheila James (11 points, 10 rebounds) each managed double-doubles while junior Camilla Osth chipped in with 10 points.
The ‘Canes defense forced 24 St. John turnovers and held the Red Storm to .333 shooting for the game.
SJU was led by Aiysha Smith’s 14 points.
