Women's Tennis Players Fall In Second Round

MOBILE, Ala. – University of Miami juniors Alanna Broderick and KatiaBogolomova were defeated in second round play at the ITA Women’s SouthernRegional hosted by the University of South Alabama.

Broderick, a junior from St. Andrew Jamaica, fell to Ivona Mihailova of OleMiss, 6-1, 6-3. She advanced to the second round after a won over FloridaState’s Jessica Balbuena, 7-6 (0), 4-6, 6-4. Bogolomova, a junior fromMoscow Russia, lost to Georgia’s Lori Grey, 6-3, 6-5. Bogolomova earned awin over Millie Begovic of Alabama, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (0) in the first round toadvance.
