Coral Gables, FL – Head basketball coach Perry Clark announces the signing of 6-8, 220-pound forward Wil Frisby (Bay Shore HS/New York, NY) to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Miami this fall.

Frisby selected Miami over a number of schools including UTEP and UNLV.

“Wil (Frisby) is a player with his best basketball still ahead of him,” said Clark. “His athleticism suites the style we want to play here at Miami. His abilities will help improve our rebounding and wing defense.”

Frisby, 19, attended Fresno City College last season and averaged 18.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game earning first-team All-Central Valley Conference honors. He shot 57.8 percent from the field and 79.4 percent from the line in leading FCC to a 15-12 record.

Frisby, who played only one season at FCC, was a full qualifier coming out of high school and is not required to earn an associate degree before transferring. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
