Coral Gables, FLA — www.hurricanesports.com – The Miami Hurricanes, ranked No. 1 by Associated Press and No. 2 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll, held a two-and-a-half hour practice in shorts and pads on Wednesday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields on the UM campus.

The workout continued preparations for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 4 p.m.

“We had a good practice today and we needed to because we had a lot of work to do,” said Hurricanes head coach Larry Coker. “Basically, we’re now in the window of time where you play the game so it was important for us to get some things done.”

The Hurricanes will practice Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Greentree. Fox Sports Net Florida will televise the Rutgers game on a tape-delayed basis Sunday at 5 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m.
