Jack McClinton Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Coral Gables, Fla. – Senior guard Jack McClinton has been selected as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending December 14. McClinton averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game to lead the Hurricanes to a pair of non-conference wins over the last week. McClinton poured in a game-high 24 points – including hitting three three-pointers and a season-high 9-of-10 from the line – and registered a career-high nine rebounds and four assists to lead Miami past Robert Morris, 70-62, on Sunday, December 13. It was his third 20-plus point scoring effort of the season (including the second time in the last three games) as he moved into 18th place on UM’s all-time career scoring list with 1,235 points in just his third season as a Hurricane. Just two days earlier, McClinton finished with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including a pair of treys, in Miami’s 76-50 win over crosstown-rival FIU. For the week, McClinton shot .500 from the field, .417 from long range and .900 from the free throw line. |
