CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 24 Miami soccer team fell for the second time this weekend to a BIG EAST cross divisional opponent, falling to No. 5 Notre Dame, 4-0, Sunday afternoon at Cobb Stadium.

The loss drops the Hurricanes to 8-5-0 while Notre Dame improves to 11-1-1 on the season.

ND outshot Miami only 12 to nine, both teams tallied five corner kicks in the match.

Amy Warner opened the scoring for the Fighting Irish at 20:02, on a pass from Melissa Tancredi. At 38:10, Mia Sarkeskian scored her first off an assist from Ali Lovelace.

Amanda Guertin scored the third goal of the match for the Fighting Irish at 41:06, giving ND a 3-0 advantage at halftime.

Warner scored her second goal of the match four minutes into the second half to secure the win for ND.

The Fighting Irish improve to 4-0-0 in the all-time series with the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes return to BIG EAST action Friday travelling to face Virginia Tech.
