Women's Basketball Travels To Face Rutgers

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s basketball team begins a three-game BIG EAST road swing traveling to face Rutgers Saturday at Noon in Piscataway, N.J.

The Hurricanes enter the contest 8-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Scarlet Knights are 4-7 overall and 1-0 in conference.

Miami has lost the last two games in a row, including a 69-65 loss to visiting Notre Dame Wednesday night.

Rutgers is on a five-game losing skid, losing to Stanford 50-46 at home Wednesday night.

The Scarlet Knights own a 10-4 advantage over Miami in the all-time series, winning the last seven games in a row.

Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) leads the Hurricanes in BIG EAST games with 18.0 points per game.

Kathryn Fowler (New York, N.Y.) is averaging a team-high 8.5 rebounds in conference games this season.

In Rutgers last game the Scarlet Knights were without two starters due to injury, Davalyn Cunningham with a sprained ankle and Mauri Horton with a bruised heel.

Dawn McCullouch leads Rutgers averaging 13.9 points per game.
