Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com)–The University of Miami, led by Alicia Hartlaub’s team-high 19 points, defeated the University of the Virgin Islands All-Stars, 80-74, in an exhibition game at the Knight Sports Complex in Coral Gables, Fla.

Hartlaub (Schaefferstown, Pa.) also grabbed six rebounds, recorded three steals and was 8 of 18 from the field.

Two other players scored in double figures for the Hurricanes, led by junior forward Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) with 14 points.

Senior guard Sheila James (Orlando, Fla.) added 10 points and recorded a team-high eight assists.

Nadine Domond led the Virgin Islands All-Stars with a game-high 25 points and five assists. Four other players scored in double figures for the All-Stars.

UM shot 38 percent for the game and led 42-38 at halftime en route to a 80-74 win.

The University of Virgin Islands All-Stars drop to 0-5 on the season. They will face Florida State on Sunday at Tallahassee, Fla.

The Hurricanes now look toward their next exhibition game, Nov. 13 versus All-Star Girls Report at 7 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex.
