Miami Prepares For Washington in Tuesday Practice

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The top-ranked Miami Hurricanes (9-0 overall, 6-0 in the BIG EAST) practiced for two hours Tuesday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields on the UM campus in preparation for the highly anticipated rematch against 12th ranked Washington (8-2 overall, 6-2 in the Pac-10) this Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the Orange Bowl.

“We had a very energetic practice today,” head coach Larry Coker said after practice. “Our team has been looking forward to this game all season, and now that it is finally here, our practices have stepped up and it shows how important this game is to our guys.”

The Hurricanes will hold practice Wednesday at 3:30 at the Greentree Practice Field. Thursday and Friday’s practice will be closed to end preparations for the game.

The Miami-Washington game will be nationally televised by ABC Sports and can be seen locally on WPLG-TV (Channel 10) in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
