Preseason Quick Shots with ACC Hoops

Miami coach Frank Haith believes guard Jack McClinton, who sat out last season after transferring from Siena, will help the Hurricanes significantly with his scoring, defense and hustle. McClinton did not travel with the team last season but Haith would often call him from the road and McClinton would be out of breath because he had been practicing on his own in the campus arena.

An observer mentioned to Haith that McClinton was not listed on the Hurricanes’ roster in the ACC media guide.

“That’s good,” Haith replied with a smile. “Maybe the league doesn’t know about him.”
