Coach Coker’s comments on a productive practice

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – With their BIG EAST clash with Pittsburgh one week away, the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes (ranked No. 1 by Associated Press and in the ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll) practiced for 90 minutes in full pads on Thursday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields on the UM campus.

The Hurricanes remain in excellent health heading into the Pittsburgh game as every starter and key reserve has been working out at full speed this week. The Hurricanes will practice again on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Greentree before taking Saturday off. The team has a closed workout slated for Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Orange Bowl. Miami will have 3:30 p.m. practices on Monday and Tuesday of next week before departing for Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Miami’s season resumes on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh when the Hurricanes take on the University of Pittsburgh Panthers in a nationally televised (ESPN) game slated to kick off at 7:38 p.m. Eastern Time.
