Soccer Travels To Face Pitt

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami soccer team travels to face Pittsburgh in a BIG EAST cross-divisional match Friday at 7 p.m. at Founders Field in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Hurricanes enter the match 6-5-0 on the season, while the Panthers are 4-4-1 overall.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams with the series tied at 1-1. Pitt won the last meeting 2-1 in Coral Gables, Fla. during the 2001 season.

Miami is currently in a three-way tie for second place in the BIG EAST Northeast division standings. The Hurricanes are 1-1-0 in conference action along with No. 13 Connecticut and St. John’s.

Pitt is in a tie with Villanova for first place in the BIG EAST Mid-Atlantic division with a conference record of 1-0-0.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) leads Miami with 14 points on the season.
