Hurricanes Host No. 17 Auburn in Home Opener

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Hurricanes play host to 17th-ranked Auburn at Cobb Stadium on Friday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 2004 season home opener.

Miami (0-2-0) returns to action after more than 11 days off after the cancellation of matches with Florida State, Georgia and Stetson due to inclement weather surrounding the effects of Hurricane Frances. The Hurricanes will look for their win of the season against the undefeated Tigers (4-0-0) after dropping their first two matches of the year, falling at George Mason 2-0 August, 27 and at then No. 7 Virginia 4-0 August, 28.

UM will meet an Auburn team that is now out-scoring opponents 11-2 entering the match following wins against Samford and William and Mary last weekend.

Friday’s meeting will mark the first between the two schools.
