CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.-Sheila James (Orlando, Fla.) scored a team-high 17 points to lead Miami to its third straight victory in a 72-58 win over visiting IUPUI Friday night in Knight Sports Complex.

The Hurricanes (3-0) are off to their best start since the 1992-93 season. The Jaguars fall to 1-3 overall.

Martha Bodley (St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands) came off of the bench to score 13 points in 16 minutes of action, while Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) added 12 points and five rebounds.

The lead changed seven times within the first 10 minutes of the game, until Miami went on a 6-0 run sparked by Hutashi Wilson (Ontario, Canada) with 6:17 remaining in the half.

The Hurricanes took a seven-point advantage into the locker room at halftime with a score of 31-24.

Miami shot 53% from the field in the second half and used an 18-2 run early on to gain the double-digit lead over IUPUI.

Despite a late run by the Jaguars, Miami managed the 14-point win over IUPUI.The Hurricanes scored 28 points off of 33 IUPUI turnovers.

Miami is back in action Tuesday night travelling to face South Florida.
