CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team will travel to Blacksburg, Va. Saturday for a mid-day match-up with ACC rival Virginia Tech.

Head coach Frank Haith and the Hurricanes – winners in two of their last three games – head to Blacksburg, Va. Saturday coming off a 68-60 victory over No. 24 Virginia Wednesday night at the BankUnited Center.

Sophomore guard Jack McClinton led the Hurricanes with 14 points, including four three-pointers, against Virginia. McClinton, the ACC leader in three-point percentage (.448), three-pointers made per game (2.9) and free throw percentage (.905), tops the UM roster in scoring with 16.2 points per game.

Freshman forward Dwayne Collins registered his fifth double-double of the season against Virginia, pulling down a career-best 14 rebounds with 11 points.

Virginia Tech is led by senior guard Zabian Dowdell, who ranks sixth in the ACC in scoring (18.0), and senior guard Jamon Gordon, who tops the league in steals (2.52).

Saturday’s game will mark the second contest this season between the Hurricanes and Hokies. In the previous match-up held Jan. 23 in Coral Gables, Virginia Tech claimed a 92-85 victory over UM.
