Hurricanes Wrap-Up Their Final Day of the Longhorn Invitational

Austin, Texas – The University of Miami rowing team concluded their final day of action at the Seventh Annual Longhorn Invitational as all four boats took on Atlantic Coast Conference Opponent, Duke University held on Town Lake Sunday morning.

The Novice 8 opened the day early as they finished second place with a time of 8:27.0 behind Duke’s 7:50.1.

Varsity 4 was the second Hurricane boat to hit the waters and captured second place at 8:42.6. The JV8 boat came up just short at 7:21.0 compared to Duke’s 7:18.6.

The day ended with the Varsity 8 boat finishing second place at 7:06.5, as Duke crossed the finish line at 7:02.8.

Miami will get back on the water March 24 to compete in the Petrakis Cup in Orlando, Florida.
